Your Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections on aircraft components, ground support equipment, and raw materials.
  • Assist customer initiatives with suppliers and perform inspection/audit functions at vendor locations.
  • Examine products upon receipt in accordance with customer inspection protocols.
  • Generate Quality notifications for any non-conforming items.
  • Re-inspect and re-evaluate items that have surpassed their current stock life limits.
  • Execute dispatch inspections in line with customer or contractual specifications.
  • Review departmental procedures for compliance and effectiveness.
  • Utilize relevant inspection tools, software, drawings, and models.
  • Support the resolution of Quality notifications.
  • Engage with representatives from customers and suppliers, as well as the customer’s quality department.
  • Operate the customer’s SAP system.
  • Provide training to colleagues.
  • Ensure inspection tools are calibrated and initiate recalibration when necessary.

Your Skills and Experiences

  • A relevant four-year engineering apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Understanding of machining principles and assembly techniques.
  • Knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) processes and techniques.
  • Familiarity with treatments applied to raw materials.
  • Comprehension of the concession process.
  • Experience with unqualified, interim, and fully qualified components in aircraft production.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with both internal and external customers.
