Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Health Nurse to join our team at Reed. As an Occupational Health Nurse, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and well-being of our clients and their employees.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide Professional Leadership: Offer expert advice, support, and guidance to managers, employees, and the wider multidisciplinary team.
  • Complete Pre-Placement Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments and exit medicals to ensure the health and safety of employees.
  • Write Medical Reports: Prepare and write letters to GPs and specialists in accordance with the Access to Medical Reports Act and Data Protection Act.
  • Assess Individual Risk: Identify and mitigate risks associated with employees presenting with perceived mental health issues.
  • Provide Health Surveillance: Conduct health surveillance, including audio, vision, HAVS, and lung function screening, in accordance with current legislation.
  • Deliver Wellness Programs: Implement and deliver the annual Influenza program and Wellness Medicals.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid NMC pin.
  • Experience in occupational health nursing.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Proficient in using electronic health records.
