About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Pharmacist to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a Senior Pharmacist, you will play a key role in leading and managing the pharmacy service, ensuring the safe and effective use of medicines, and providing clinical expertise to patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage the pharmacy service, ensuring the safe and effective use of medicines.
- Provide clinical expertise to patients and staff, including prescribing, medication management, and patient education.
- Develop and implement policies, guidelines, and procedures to improve the pharmacy service.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care and effective communication.
- Manage and supervise junior staff, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
- Participate in research and audit projects to improve the quality of service and patient outcomes.
- Contribute to the development of clinical pharmacy services, including the implementation of new technologies and innovations.
- Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
- Postgraduate Certificate in Pharmacy Practice or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in a clinical pharmacy setting, with a strong understanding of medicines management and clinical governance.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, with a strong attention to detail.
