Business Development Lead

Zaizi is experiencing significant growth within the UK National Security sector, collaborating with a diverse range of government clients. We have ambitious plans to revolutionize their utilization of digital services. The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in expanding our relationships within this sector, elevating our strategy to new heights and accelerating our expansion.
New Business Acquisition (70%):
- Identify and pursue promising business opportunities within the government national security sector.
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve and surpass sales targets, driving revenue growth.
- Conduct in-depth market research to comprehend industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging prospects.
- Cultivate a robust sales pipeline by actively engaging with potential clients through various channels, including networking events, targeted outreach, and industry conferences.
- Establish strategic partnerships that will accelerate our presence within the sector and enable a broader range of offerings.
- Collaborate closely with the marketing team to create compelling sales materials and targeted campaigns.
Client Relationship Management and Growth (30%):
- Nurture and cultivate relationships with our existing national security clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and identifying opportunities for up-selling and cross-selling.
- Collaborate effectively with our National Security Club to understand evolving client needs and provide valuable insights for proposition development.
- Conduct regular account reviews and work collaboratively with clients to identify areas for optimization and improvement.
- Implement strategies to retain and expand existing accounts, demonstrating the ongoing value of our solutions.
Requirements
- A proven track record of selling digital services and solutions to central government entities in the UK, specifically within National Security.
- A strong understanding of how the public sector operates, both commercially and at project and program levels.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships, resulting in customer loyalty and repeat business.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, with a results-oriented mindset.
- Understanding of government and industry digital standards and approaches.
