Position: Financial Operations and Credit Control Associate - Fluent in GermanReporting to: Finance Manager - Central Europe
Location: Central London (Potentially Hybrid after Training)
Employment Type: Full-Time (3 months contract with potential for extension or permanent placement)
Compensation: £28,000 to £35,000 Based on Experience

With a presence in 13 countries and over 4,000 retail locations serving 48 markets worldwide, this organization operates 8 manufacturing facilities in various countries and employs around 3,000 individuals dedicated to enhancing customer experiences.
We are seeking a motivated Financial Operations and Credit Control Associate who will collaborate closely with the Central European finance manager to support the Finance department and the broader organization. This role will provide exposure to various aspects of the accounting function, with a primary focus on managing accounts receivable and conducting bank reconciliations for our Central European sales division.

Key Responsibilities:

* Record and process journal entries to ensure accurate documentation of all business transactions
* Manage accounts receivable, generate invoices, record payments, and prepare debtor reports
* Conduct daily bank reconciliations
* Assist with various accounting projects as required
* Follow up with clients regarding outstanding debts

Required Skills & Experience:

* Prior experience in a finance role is preferred, although candidates with a finance degree will also be considered
* Proficiency in German at an advanced level
* Strong working knowledge of Excel
* Experience in small to medium enterprises (SMEs) is advantageous
* Familiarity with SAP ERP systems is a plus
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail
