Job Description

**Financial Operations Specialist - ASAP Start - Visual Effects**

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join our client's finance team on an interim basis initially for 6 months. Our client is a world-leading company in visual and immersive experiences, and you will be working in the heart of London.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day credit management, producing weekly debtor reports, and reconciling movements.
  • Negotiating payment plans, dealing with billing issues, and sending invoices to clients.
  • Liaising with customers and building strong relationships to ensure timely payments.
  • Maintaining the UK sales ledger and ensuring all bookings are posted on time.
  • Forecasting customer receipts for cash flow and contributing to the improvement of existing systems and processes.
  • Assisting with customer reconciliations, preparing sales ledger information for audits, and supporting year-end processes.
  • Ownership of customer invoicing processes for the UK entity, including experience with proforma invoices and customer deposits.
  • Allocating payments from customers in an accurate and timely manner and working with a shared inbox for customer billing enquiries.

Requirements:

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to investigate and understand variances and underlying reasons.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a qualification in accounting, such as AAT.
  • Understanding of international banking, including intermediary bank fees and foreign currency.
  • Experience with NetSuite and SalesForce is advantageous, as is experience with handling WIP and understanding UK VAT from a sales perspective.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to confidently liaise with various stakeholders outside of finance and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to provide industry-leading customer service.
