Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Billing Coordinator to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a key member of our billing team, you will be responsible for coordinating the billing process for our clients, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all aspects of billing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for billing queries and requests from clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Organize and distribute monthly billing workload, including preparation of work-in-progress (WIP) reports, amendments to WIP, drafting and finalizing bills, and assisting paralegals with billing queries.
  • Manage e-billed clients, including uploading LEDES files and bills, onboarding new e-billed clients, managing client invoices and rates, handling invoice rejections and queries.
  • Oversee compliance with internal billing procedures and ensure accurate and timely billing.
  • Manage disbursements and produce reports to monitor WIP and billed fees.
  • Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and budgets.

Requirements

  • Experience in legal billing, with a strong background in litigation billing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with senior colleagues, partners, and stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and driven, with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
