NFP People is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Service Manager to join our team. As a Deputy Service Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting and empowering vulnerable young people by managing a team delivering an assessment, support, and move-on service to care leavers in supported accommodation and outreach services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deputise for the Pathway Manager during periods of absence, ensuring seamless service delivery, including external meetings with commissioners.
- Manage the service delivery at accommodation services and outreach, line-managing staff teams.
- Provide relevant reporting internally and externally, ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements, housing associations, and legal obligations.
- Ensure the highest standards of support to young people, effective housing management, and achievement of KPI targets.
- Commit to working in a safeguarding environment, promoting the well-being of young people.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, raising the profile and promoting services within the community.
- Undertake further duties as required, in line with organisational policies and procedures.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Significant management experience, including supervising teams and individuals.
- Experience in sound decision-making processes, risk management, and safeguarding children and young people.
- Experience in safe service delivery to vulnerable young people.
- Good literacy, numeracy, and IT skills.
- Experience in operating safeguarding requirements and procedures.
- Commitment to promoting diversity, equality, and respect for all individuals.
