Role Overview
The Finance Systems Lead will report directly to the Head of Business Systems, playing a crucial role in ensuring the operational stability, development, and enhancement of the finance systems at J. Murphy & Sons Ltd. This position requires close collaboration with key stakeholders to maximize the value derived from finance systems investments.

Key Responsibilities
1. **Task Management and Scheduling**: Oversee project tasks and business-as-usual support activities in partnership with external vendors.
2. **Performance Metrics Development**: Collaborate with third-party partners to create key performance indicators and reports that provide visibility into IT performance and forecast capacity, including delivery roadmaps.
3. **System Capability Awareness**: Stay informed about the capabilities, features, and planned updates of the D365 Finance & Operations product, identifying opportunities for enhancing functionality and efficiency within finance operations.
4. **Operational Support Management**: Provide escalation and management support to the business regarding the systems under the Financial Systems team's purview.
5. **Release Process Planning**: Own and manage the release process for D365, aligning it with business priorities while balancing stability, risk, benefits, and costs.
6. **Testing Management**: Ensure comprehensive unit testing and support for user acceptance testing during system upgrades, fixes, and enhancements.
7. **Project Management Support**: Assist the IT project management team by providing resources, knowledge, and solutions to facilitate successful project delivery.
8. **Resource Scheduling**: Work with the Programme Management Team to ensure effective scheduling of resources committed to projects.

Qualifications
- Proven experience in managing Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365) solutions.
- Strong background in supporting finance teams and articulating service demands and solutions.
- Solid understanding of business finance operations and processes.
- Experience with financial systems, including business requirements analysis and IT service management tools.
- Application management experience in an enterprise-scale D365 environment, including supplier management.
- Familiarity with the construction industry and finance systems.
- Knowledge of D365 Finance & Operations implementation, configuration, and usage.
- Experience managing suppliers and offshore teams.
- Proficient in supporting financial transactional processing and reporting functions with a strong process understanding.
