Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer dedicated to operational excellence and safety in production? We present a remarkable opportunity for you to assume a key position as an Electrical Technical Lead at a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.

Our client is a prominent global entity committed to innovation, quality, and sustainability. The UK facility specializes in producing advanced products for various sectors including automotive, renewable energy, medical devices, and infrastructure.

Position Overview:


As the Senior Electrical Systems Engineer, you will be instrumental in overseeing the maintenance, servicing, repair, and enhancement of all electrical systems essential for production activities.

Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the safety of personnel and contractors while maintaining operational continuity.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee electrical operations of all site systems and services
- Provide technical leadership and ensure adherence to industry regulations
- Identify and manage high voltage switching requirements and schedules
- Select and supervise contractors
- Generate engineering documentation including permits to work, risk assessments, purchase orders, training materials, and engineering manuals
- Conduct Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) training for the maintenance team, including refreshers and audits
- Procure electrical equipment; High Voltage, Low Voltage, Variable Speed Drives, Programmable Logic Controllers
- Replace outdated components
- Perform Root Cause Analysis, breakdown investigations, and implement improvement initiatives
- Offer ongoing technical support and training to electrical engineers.

Qualifications & Skills:
- Completion of Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship, Level 3 qualification
- HNC/HND
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems and power supply, from transformers to substations down to component level
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- High Voltage Qualification AP15 preferred - training can be provided
- Comprehensive understanding of electrical systems and power supply
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and instructions
- Highly organized, structured, and adaptable to address critical issues
- Excellent communication skills with colleagues and management
- Strong leadership capabilities
- Proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office tools.
