Position Overview

hVIVO is in search of a dedicated and adaptable Clinical Pharmacy Technician to support our FluCamp operations. This role is essential in our mission to advance human challenge clinical trials aimed at combating prevalent illnesses such as the common cold and flu.

Our organization focuses on innovative clinical research, where volunteers play a pivotal role in testing new therapies within a secure and regulated clinical setting.

As a Clinical Pharmacy Technician, you will collaborate with fellow professionals to manage shifts in our clinical trials unit, contributing to the preparation, return, and dispensing of investigational products for trial participants.

We offer a variety of shifts throughout the week, including both daytime and nighttime options. Responsibilities in this role include:

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and dispensing of investigational products in line with established protocols and procedures.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in aseptic techniques.
  • Maintain accurate accountability and ensure optimal storage conditions for investigational medicinal products (IMPs).
  • Adhere to hVIVO's quality systems and standard operating procedures, ensuring compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) principles.
  • Participate in clinical and facility audits to uphold departmental standards.
  • Proactively communicate to address and enhance workflow issues, ensuring all team members are informed.
  • Engage actively in team meetings.
  • Implement efficient and safe work processes to prioritize participant safety.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Background in handling, preparing, and dispensing pharmaceuticals in various formulations.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Familiarity with ICH GCP/FDA regulations is preferred.
  • A background in Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) is advantageous.
  • Experience in clinical research is beneficial.
