We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive pharmacy technician to join our Pharmacy Clinical Trials team as a Band 5 Senior Pharmacy Technician - Clinical Trials.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the delivery of a high-quality clinical trial service to sponsors, CROs, staff, and patients, ensuring compliance with UK Clinical Trials Regulations, GCP, GMP, GDP guidelines, and department procedures.
Main Responsibilities- Maintain and support the Pharmacy Clinical Trials service according to regulations and guidelines.
- Operational set-up of new clinical trials, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
- Day-to-day management of Investigational Medicinal Products (IMPs), including processing and dispensing.
- Process amendments to clinical trials, ensuring seamless integration with existing protocols.
- Close-down and archiving activities, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Act as the primary contact for sponsors and research delivery teams, providing exceptional customer service.
- Dispense clinical trial medication, adhering to strict quality control measures.
- Prepare for audits and inspections, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure accurate billing of sponsors, maintaining financial transparency.
- Support the implementation of Trust clinical trials pharmacy strategy, driving innovation and excellence.

Person SpecificationWe are seeking a candidate with:
- Demonstrable ability to meet the Trust values, embodying our commitment to excellence and patient-centered care.
- NVQ level 3 / BTEC equivalent in Pharmaceutical Sciences, with a strong foundation in pharmacy practice.
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a pharmacy technician, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- GCSE in English, Mathematics, and Science at grade C / 4 or equivalent, demonstrating a solid educational background.
