Senior Clinical Practitioner – Urgent Care Division

Join the dynamic team at Totally's Urgent Care division, where we are dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare services. We are seeking experienced Senior Clinical Practitioners (SCP) and Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANP) from diverse professional backgrounds, including nursing, pharmacy, and paramedicine. If you possess a Master's level qualification or its equivalent and are eager to embrace an expanded role in Primary Care, we invite you to consider this opportunity.

As a Senior Clinical Practitioner within our Urgent Care Centres, you will enhance the existing clinical services, contributing to the capacity and capability of our multi-disciplinary teams.

Your responsibilities will include assessing the health and clinical needs of patients, conducting consultations as an independent practitioner, and utilizing your advanced clinical skills and judgment to diagnose, treat, refer, or discharge patients. This role involves face-to-face interactions and is supported by a flexible rota that includes weekdays, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

Daily Responsibilities...

  • Lead clinical teams during shifts.
  • Conduct patient consultations, gathering comprehensive medical histories and performing physical examinations while applying your expert knowledge and clinical judgment to identify potential diagnoses.
  • Determine and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications or referring patients to primary or secondary care specialists as per established protocols.
  • Provide clinical guidance and mentorship to junior clinical staff.

Required Qualifications and Experience...

  • Registered Nurse, Paramedic, or Pharmacist.
  • Master's Degree in Advanced Clinical Practice (or equivalent).
  • Proven completion of studies in minor illness.
  • Independent prescriber status.
  • Evidence of training in minor injury or a willingness to develop these skills.
  • Evidence of training in pediatric minor illness or a willingness to develop these skills.
  • Evidence of training in pediatric minor injury or a willingness to develop these skills.
  • Learning and Development time (5% of weekly hours).
