About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Support Specialist to join our team at NHS Scotland. As a key member of our IT Applications service, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional support and service to our users, ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems and applications.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in IT systems and applications, with experience in specification and support of complex IT environments. You will be proficient in IT applications support and service delivery, with a proven track record of resolving complex problems under high-pressure situations.

You will work closely with our eHealth department and other teams to deliver excellent service to our users, and will be required to represent the team at meetings involving senior managers and non-eHealth staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional support and service to our users, ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems and applications.
  • Work closely with our eHealth department and other teams to deliver excellent service to our users.
  • Represent the team at meetings involving senior managers and non-eHealth staff.
  • Manage the dental inspection programme system, including being the main point of contact for this system within the eHealth department.
Requirements
  • Strong background in IT systems and applications.
  • Experience in specification and support of complex IT environments.
  • Proficient in IT applications support and service delivery.
  • Proven track record of resolving complex problems under high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
