Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust seeks a visionary Deputy Director of Capital Development to spearhead strategic growth and infrastructure improvements within our esteemed organization.

As a key member of the Executive team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of healthcare delivery by guiding the development and execution of our comprehensive capital plan. Your expertise will be instrumental in aligning capital investments with operational needs, ensuring optimal resource allocation, and driving impactful service enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert guidance and support to senior leadership on all aspects of capital development strategy and implementation.
  • Lead the formulation and delivery of a robust long-term capital plan that aligns with the Trust's strategic objectives and operational requirements.
  • Foster strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, including clinical teams, finance departments, and external partners, to ensure seamless integration of capital projects into existing workflows.
  • Collaborate closely with finance professionals to ensure accurate financial forecasting, reporting, and budget management for all capital initiatives.
  • Leverage your construction expertise to provide valuable insights and recommendations to the Executive team on service and business transformation initiatives.
Ideal Candidate Profile:

We seek a highly accomplished and results-oriented professional with a proven track record in capital development within the healthcare sector. Your qualifications should include:

  • Chartered Construction professional status with a minimum of 10 years of post-registration experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of procurement procedures, contract management best practices, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success in managing departmental operations, performance evaluation, and team development.

Experience within an acute hospital setting and a history of successful NHS capital projects would be highly advantageous.
