Job Overview

To provide strategic leadership for the development of the Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust's capital programme, ensuring alignment with business objectives and minimising impact on trust operations.

Main Responsibilities

Lead the formation and delivery of the trust's long-term capital plan, working closely with care groups and corporate functions to ensure adequate funding and resource allocation.

Provide expert advice and support to the Director of Capital Development, Trust Executive, and key stakeholders on strategic development and delivery of the capital plan.

Develop and implement policies relating to the planning and physical environment of clinical services, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.

Key Accountabilities

1. Lead the capital team in the development and delivery of the trust's capital programme, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery of projects.

2. Collaborate with the Finance Directorate to ensure accurate forecasting and management of capital expenditure.

3. Engage with Executive, Divisional, and general managers to ensure the capital plan accurately reflects the needs and requirements of trust operational services.

4. Provide capital planning expertise to the Executive team to support service and business change initiatives.
