About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Development Manager to join our Affordable Homes business. The successful candidate will support the wider regional team in sourcing, appraising, and contracting s106 and package deal opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of social housing development, housing management, and regulatory requirements. They will also possess excellent commercial and financial management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.

The role will involve:

  • Supporting the full and successful delivery of s106 and package deal opportunities across the South of England.
  • Undertaking business development activities to identify new business opportunities within the designated target area.
  • Appraising and testing schemes in accordance with approved investment parameters and scrutiny processes.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory controls, including Local Authority, Homes England, GLA, CDM, Building Regulations, and internal funding and technical requirements.
  • Managing negotiations with stakeholders to ensure the reputation of the company is safeguarded.
  • Supporting the preparation and submission of compliant bids and grant claims.
