About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Biffa Waste Services. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and revenue expansion through the development and execution of strategic sales plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, build relationships with key decision-makers, and negotiate contracts to drive revenue growth.
  • Market Analysis and Research: Conduct market research to stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve business objectives, including setting targets, identifying opportunities, and allocating resources.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and customer service, to ensure seamless execution of sales plans.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track and analyze sales performance, identify areas for improvement, and provide regular reporting to senior management.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven track record of success in sales and business development, with a strong understanding of the waste management industry.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Certifications: Relevant industry certifications, such as the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) or the Institute of Sales and Marketing Management (ISMM).
