About The Position

Join our dynamic Installations Team in a pivotal role that offers the opportunity to work predominantly on customer sites. This position is essential for ensuring the successful execution of installation projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

Role Overview:

As a Site Installation Lead, you will take charge of overseeing both direct and indirect personnel on-site, including subcontractors engaged by Selwood. Your leadership will be vital in fostering a positive work environment characterized by flexibility and integrity.

On-site, you will be responsible for ensuring that Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) are effectively communicated and followed by your team. You will also verify that all equipment is suitable for the intended installation prior to commencement. Health and Safety will be your top priority, and you will need to maintain vigilance not only for your own safety but also for the safety of those around you. Your proactive approach will empower you to halt any unsafe practices immediately.

Flexibility and Commitment:

This role requires a flexible mindset, as you will participate in an on-call rota and may need to work additional hours beyond the standard 40-hour work week. This commitment provides the opportunity to earn competitive overtime rates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion the company's mission and core values to ensure a cohesive approach across our operations.
  • Supervise all phases of the installation project from initial concept through to completion, collaborating closely with the sales and solutions teams.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with the Installation Manager, providing timely updates on project progress and any potential challenges.
  • Conduct on-site RAMS assessments, ensuring all risks are identified and that effective control measures are implemented.
  • Oversee the installation of pipework while managing the daily activities of Installation Operatives and subcontractors.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of vehicles, requiring a good level of physical fitness to meet the demands of the role.

Qualifications & Experience:

Essential:

  • A strong understanding of construction site operations and safety protocols.
  • Ability to adapt to challenging situations with a positive attitude.
  • Flexibility in working hours and availability for on-call duties.
  • A valid Full UK driving license with minimal points.

Preferred:

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Site Supervision.
  • SSSTS - Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme certification.
  • IOSH Managing Safety qualification.
  • Forklift license.
  • CSCS gold card.
  • National Water Hygiene Card.
  • Experience in the hire or water-related industry is advantageous but not mandatory.
