About The Position

Join our dynamic Installations Team at Selwood. This role is primarily focused on overseeing installation projects at various customer locations, with occasional visits to our branches.

As a Site Installation Supervisor, you will be expected to lead by example, taking charge of both direct and indirect personnel on-site, including subcontractors. A strong commitment to a positive work environment, adaptability, and integrity are essential qualities for this role.

While on-site, you will ensure that Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) are communicated and followed by your team. It is crucial to verify that all equipment is suitable for the task at hand before commencing any installation. Safety is our utmost priority, and you will be responsible for maintaining a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues. You must possess the confidence to halt any unsafe practices immediately.

This position requires flexibility, as you will participate in an on-call rotation and may need to work overtime beyond the standard 40-hour workweek, providing opportunities for increased earnings through overtime rates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and embody the company's mission and core values to ensure a consistent approach across our operations.
  • Supervise all phases of installation projects from initiation to completion, collaborating closely with the sales and solutions teams.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Installation Manager, providing updates on project progress and addressing any potential challenges.
  • Conduct on-site RAMS processes, ensuring all risks are identified and managed effectively, while clearly communicating installation methodologies to all team members and clients.
  • Oversee the installation of pipework and manage the daily activities of Installation Operatives and subcontractors.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of vehicles, requiring a good level of physical fitness to meet the demands of the role.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

A strong understanding of construction site operations and safety protocols is necessary. You should be adaptable and able to handle challenging situations positively. Flexibility in working hours is required, including participation in an on-call rotation.

A valid Full UK driving license with fewer than 6 penalty points is mandatory.

Preferred:

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Site Supervision is advantageous.
  • SSSTS - Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme certification.
  • IOSH Managing Safety qualification.
  • Forklift license is a plus.
  • CSCS gold card holder is preferred.
  • National Water Hygiene Card is beneficial.
  • Experience in the hire or water-related industry is a plus but not essential.
