About The Position

Join our dynamic Installations Team at Selwood. This role is primarily focused on overseeing operations at various customer locations, with occasional visits to our branches.

As a Site Installation Supervisor, you will set the standard for your team, holding the responsibility to manage both direct and indirect personnel on-site, including third-party contractors. A strong work ethic, adaptability, and integrity are essential qualities for success in this role.

Your primary duty will be to ensure that Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) are communicated and followed by your team, verifying that all equipment is suitable for installation prior to commencement. Safety is our utmost priority, and you will be required to maintain a vigilant approach to both your own safety and that of your colleagues in potentially hazardous environments. You must possess the confidence to intervene and halt any unsafe practices immediately.

This position requires flexibility, as you will participate in an on-call rota and may need to work additional hours beyond the standard 40-hour week, providing opportunities for increased earnings through overtime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion the company's mission and core values to ensure a consistent approach across our UK operations.
  • Supervise all phases of the project lifecycle in collaboration with the sales and solutions teams.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Installation Manager regarding project progress and any anticipated challenges.
  • Conduct on-site RAMS procedures, ensuring all risks are identified and managed effectively, while communicating installation methodologies to all personnel and clients at each stage.
  • Oversee the installation of pipework while managing the daily tasks of Installation Operatives and subcontractors.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of vehicles, requiring a good level of physical fitness to meet the demands of the role and uphold safety standards.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

A solid understanding of construction site operations and safety protocols is crucial. You should be adaptable and maintain a positive attitude in challenging situations. Availability for on-call duties and occasional travel away from home is required.

A valid Full UK driving license with fewer than 6 penalty points is mandatory.

Preferred:

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Site Supervision is advantageous.
  • SSSTS - Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme certification.
  • IOSH Managing Safety qualification.
  • Forklift license is a plus.
  • CSCS gold card holder is preferred.
  • National Water Hygiene Card is beneficial.
  • Experience in the hire or water-related sectors is a plus but not essential.
