About The Position

Join our dynamic Installations Team in a pivotal role as a Site Installation Supervisor. This position primarily involves working at various customer locations, with occasional visits to our branches across the UK.

As a Site Installation Supervisor, you will set the standard for excellence, overseeing both direct and indirect personnel on-site, including third-party contractors. A proactive mindset, adaptability, and integrity are essential qualities for success in this role.

Your responsibilities will include ensuring that Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) are communicated and followed by your team, as well as verifying that all equipment is suitable for installation prior to commencement. Safety is our utmost priority, and you will be expected to maintain a vigilant approach to both your own safety and that of your colleagues in potentially hazardous environments. You must possess the confidence to halt any unsafe practices immediately.

This role requires flexibility, as you will participate in an on-call rota and may need to work overtime beyond the standard 40-hour work week, providing opportunities for increased earnings through overtime pay.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Uphold and promote the company's mission and core values to ensure a consistent approach to our business strategy across the UK.
  • Supervise all phases of the installation project from initiation to completion in collaboration with the sales and solutions teams.
  • Communicate regularly with the Installation Manager, providing updates on project progress and addressing any potential challenges.
  • Implement on-site RAMS procedures, ensuring all risks are identified and controlled, with clear communication of installation methodologies to all personnel and clients.
  • Engage in the installation of pipework while overseeing the daily activities of Installation Operatives and subcontractors.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of vehicles, requiring a good level of physical fitness to meet the demands of the role and ensure safety standards are met.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

A strong understanding of construction site operations and safety protocols is crucial. You should be adaptable and maintain a positive demeanor in challenging situations. Flexibility in working hours is necessary, including participation in an on-call rota and occasional travel away from home.

A valid Full UK driving license with fewer than 6 penalty points is required.

Preferred:

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Site Supervision is advantageous.
  • SSSTS - Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme certification.
  • IOSH Managing Safety qualification.
  • Forklift license is a plus.
  • CSCS gold card holder is preferred.
  • National Water Hygiene Card is beneficial.
  • Experience in the hire or water-related sectors is a plus but not mandatory.
