An exciting opportunity has emerged for a dedicated Surgical Operations Team Supervisor at a leading private healthcare facility. We seek a motivated individual to assume the role of Surgical Operations Team Supervisor. The ideal candidate will possess current NMC/HCP registration, substantial management experience in a comparable position, and a proven track record of leading teams while enhancing Urology and General Surgery services. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential for managing the daily operational aspects of the Urology and General surgical operating lists, ensuring the highest standards of patient care throughout their perioperative journey.

The facility provides comprehensive care to patients, both inpatient and outpatient, featuring multiple operating theatres along with Endoscopy and Recovery services, catering to a diverse range of specialties for private and NHS patients.

Key Responsibilities:

To excel in this position, candidates must have a robust clinical background in acute surgical care, along with demonstrable leadership and personnel management capabilities. We are looking for a dynamic and proactive individual who can evolve the role into a pivotal part of the hospital, ensuring that the Theatre department operates in a Safe, Effective, Responsive, Caring, and Well-Led manner.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Theatre Manager, fostering excellent working relationships with staff, consultants, and key stakeholders.

They will play a vital role in promoting sustainable excellence in the safety and quality of care and services.

Responsibilities include supporting the Quality agenda by monitoring compliance with required standards, identifying risks to quality of care and services, and planning, recommending, and implementing changes for continuous improvement.

The Surgical Operations Team Supervisor will oversee the proactive management of all departmental resources, including operational budgets, workforce planning, and the efficiency of theatre schedules, while ensuring a safe, caring, responsive, effective, and well-led department.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • ODP Level 3 / RN (1)
  • Experience in a senior role.
  • Comprehensive understanding of relevant clinical standards.
  • Proven leadership experience.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge.
  • Registered member with the NMC/HCP.
