Role Overview
As a Lead Care Assistant at Methodist Homes, you will motivate and guide a dedicated team of care assistants to deliver exceptional care to our residents, ensuring they enjoy their later years to the fullest. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks, including assisting residents with personal care and facilitating their participation in numerous activities that promote their health and well-being. You will also be responsible for administering medications and maintaining precise and thorough records. Each day will present new challenges, allowing you to utilize your leadership and interpersonal skills to make a significant impact.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for caring for the elderly, possess prior experience in care, and hold at least an NVQ level 2 or equivalent in health and social care, with a willingness to pursue level 3. Experience in leading, coaching, and inspiring a team to provide high-quality care is essential.
We seek individuals with a compassionate, warm demeanor who excel in teamwork but can also work independently. Strong patience, communication, and listening skills are vital. You should also be adept at maintaining accurate records, managing your time effectively, and prioritizing tasks.
