Role Overview

We are expanding our first line information technology and security risk team and seek a dedicated individual who is passionate about risk management. Your role will involve overseeing daily operations to ensure the organization’s resilience and readiness, collaborating with various stakeholders to mitigate risks and enhance our operational capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the management of the bank's technical resilience and continuity strategies.
  • Develop, maintain, and revise the bank's continuity and recovery documentation.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to ensure the completion of resilience and recovery initiatives.
  • Ensure regulatory requirements are clearly understood and communicated.
  • Facilitate business impact and risk assessments with stakeholders.
  • Generate timely reports on the bank's resilience and recovery efforts.
  • Oversee the testing strategy for continuity plans, ensuring lessons learned are implemented.
  • Engage with third-party risk management teams to validate vendor resilience strategies.
  • Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of our operational resilience and disaster recovery frameworks.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the team.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A solid understanding of operational resilience, business continuity, and disaster recovery standards.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess complex business processes and identify improvement opportunities.
  • A collaborative mindset to develop effective response plans in a technology-driven environment.
  • Knowledge of the operational regulatory landscape.
  • A commitment to ethical practices for the benefit of customers and colleagues.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience in financial services or business continuity management.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO and NIST.
  • Understanding of information technology systems, including cloud technologies.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with stakeholders and provide insightful reporting.
  • Attention to detail, coupled with strong analytical and presentation skills.
  • Flexibility and innovation in achieving team objectives.
  • A keen interest in technology, automation, and development.
