Salary Range: £34,834 - £38,223 per annum pro rata
Additional Retention Payment: Up to £4,000 per year pro rata

An exciting opportunity exists within the Suffolk County Council (SCC) Recruitment, Assessment, and Matching Team for a Social Worker. This role focuses on the recruitment and evaluation of potential Foster Carers and Adopters, ensuring that Suffolk's Looked After Children receive the support they need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the recruitment of prospective Foster Carers and Adopters.
- Conduct Fostering Form F assessments with support and training provided.
- Complete assessments for transferring Foster Carers.
- Co-facilitate Skills to Foster Training and Fostering Information Evenings.
Essential Qualifications:
- A relevant social work qualification.
- Registration with Social Work England.

The team provides a comprehensive service across the county, dedicated to recruiting, assessing, and approving Foster Carers while supporting long-term placement matching. Known for its collaborative and supportive environment, the team is committed to enhancing practices to meet the needs of children. Despite a demanding workload, team members share a passion for fostering and contribute innovative ideas to their work. Our collective mission is to approve and support Foster Carers who can positively impact the lives of children in care.
