Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate SEN Specialist to join our team at Busy Bees Day Nursery and Preschool Ipswich Pinewood. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring every individual child's needs are met, including supporting parents with any SEND/ASL needs.

About the Role

  • As a SEN Specialist, you will take ownership of the observation, assessments, and planning for your key children in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and provide developmentally challenging next steps.
  • You will ensure we encourage and praise children's development and achievements, creating a nurturing and supportive environment that fosters growth and learning.
  • As a keyworker, you will work closely with parents and colleagues to develop and implement personalized care plans, ensuring every child receives the best possible start in life.
  • You will also contribute to the development of our nursery's policies and procedures, ensuring they are aligned with the latest research and best practices in SEN education.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience working with children, ideally as an Early Years Educator, Nursery Practitioner, or Nursery Nurse.
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS and SEN education principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with parents, colleagues, and children.
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach, with a commitment to delivering exceptional care and support.
