We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused individual to join our Patient Services Team as a Patient Services Advisor. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and effective running of our reception and administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities- Assist patients with obtaining appointments at a time and place convenient to them, both face-to-face and over the telephone.
- Respond to patients' requests for information or assistance, ensuring these requests are directed to the most appropriate clinician.
- Respond to doctors and other clinical staff's requests for information or assistance, liaising with external agencies as necessary, and anticipating problems and seeking solutions.
- Provide cover for the main reception telephone and ensure messages are passed on quickly and accurately.
- Ensure e-mails are responded to in a timely manner and that all necessary action is taken.
- Manage the contents of the community notice board/health promotion boards in the main reception areas.
- Assist in the maintenance, reviews, and updates of reception procedures and protocols.
- Operate in accordance with the practice protocols and guidelines.
- Undertake opening and closing procedures, ensuring the building is secure and the security alarm is set/unset.
