Position Overview:

Salary: £99, £131,964.00 per annum (Pro-rata)

Employment Type: Fixed-Term contract – 12 months

Work Schedule: Full-time: 10 Programmed Activities (DCC: SPA = 7.5:2.5)

On-call Responsibilities: Frequency 1:50; Category A - 3% on-call supplement (Pro-rata) (Optional)

Location: NELFT NHS Foundation Trust

Required Qualifications:

  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
  • CCT or equivalent
  • Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it
  • Approved Clinician status, or eligibility for it
  • Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST

We are currently seeking a Community Old Age Consultant Psychiatrist for our Memory Service.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to provide care for older adults with mental health needs.
  • Offer senior medical guidance and support to the team.
  • Engage directly with patients and their families, coordinating with external mental health providers and acute hospitals as necessary.
  • Participate in the on-call rota; current frequency is 1:50, with a 3% on-call supplement (optional).
  • Support colleagues and team leaders while fostering an environment of initiative and collaboration.
  • Work alongside other medical professionals within the service.
  • Commit to collaborative practices, actively engaging with other health and social care professionals and agencies.
