SENIOR CONSULTANT PSYCHIATRIST FOR OLDER ADULTS - MEMORY SERVICE
Position Overview:We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Memory Service team. This role is crucial in providing high-quality mental health care to older adults.
Salary: £99, £131,964.00 per annum (Pro-rata)Contract Type: Fixed-Term contract - 12 months
Working Hours: Full-time: 10 Programmed Activities (DCC:SPA = 7.5:2.5)
On-call Responsibilities: Frequency 1:50, Category A - 3% on-call supplement (Pro-rata) (Optional)
Key Qualifications:
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
- CCT or equivalent
- Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it
- Approved Clinician status, or eligibility for it
- Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST
As a Senior Consultant Psychiatrist, you will:
- Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to deliver care to older adults with mental health needs.
- Provide expert medical support and guidance to the team.
- Engage directly with patients and their families, coordinating with external mental health providers and acute hospitals.
- Participate in the on-call rota, supporting your peers and team leader while fostering a collaborative environment.
- Work alongside fellow medical professionals to influence treatment pathways and service delivery.
