Position Overview
Role: Consultant Psychiatrist for Older Adults in Memory Services
This is a fixed-term role designed to enhance our Memory Services, providing essential support to older adults facing mental health challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional care to older adults with mental health needs.
- Provide expert medical guidance and support to team members.
- Engage directly with patients and their families, coordinating with external mental health providers as necessary.
- Participate in an on-call rota, ensuring availability for urgent care needs.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative treatment models.
Qualifications Required:
- Full GMC registration with a valid license to practice.
- Completion of CCT or equivalent qualifications.
- Eligibility for Section 12 Approval.
- Approved Clinician status or eligibility for it.
- Inclusion in the Specialist Register or eligibility within a specified timeframe.
