Position Overview
COMMUNITY OLD AGE CONSULTANT PSYCHIATRIST - MEMORY SERVICE

Role Details:
Salary: £99,000 - £131,000 per annum (Pro-rata)
Contract: Fixed-Term for 12 months
Hours: Full-time: 10 Programmed Activities (DCC:SPA = )
On-call: Frequency 1:50; Category A - 3% on-call supplement (Pro-rata) (Optional)
Qualifications Required:
- Full GMC registration with a license to practice
- CCT or equivalent
- Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it
- Approved Clinician status, or eligibility for it
- Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST
Main Responsibilities:
As a successful candidate, you will:
- Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to provide care for older adults with mental health needs.
- Offer senior medical support and guidance to the team.
- Engage directly with patients and their families, coordinating with external mental health providers and acute care facilities.
- Participate in the on-call rota, with a frequency of 1:50 and a 3% on-call supplement (optional).
- Support colleagues and contribute effectively as a team member while fostering independent initiative.
- Work alongside experienced professionals in the field, including other Consultant Psychiatrists and Geriatricians.
- Commit to collaborative practices, actively engaging with health and social care professionals.
