Detailed Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care to elderly individuals facing mental health challenges across the designated area.
  2. Provide expert medical advice and leadership to the team.
  3. Engage directly with patients and their families, coordinating with external mental health services and hospitals as necessary.
  4. Participate in the on-call schedule, currently set at a frequency of 1:50, with an associated on-call supplement.
  5. (Optional) Mentor colleagues and support the team leader while fostering an environment of independent initiative.
  6. Work alongside a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including a Consultant Psychiatrist and a Consultant Geriatrician.
  7. Commit to cooperative working practices, actively engaging with other health and social care professionals and organizations.
