Role Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Senior Sales Manager to spearhead our business development initiatives in retail media ad tech and services. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in sales or business development and a comprehensive understanding of ad tech or retail media, along with a strong network of contacts in specific sectors, particularly in travel.
You will collaborate closely with the Director of Business Development to initiate new conversations with marketing, e-commerce, retail media, and partnership teams of potential clients across various verticals, managing the sales cycle from start to finish. This role presents an exciting opportunity to engage with leading retail brands globally, work alongside Platform 195's leadership, and contribute to our growth and success.
Desired Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:
- Over 5 years of experience in sales or business development.
- Strong knowledge of the mar-tech, retail media, or e-commerce landscape.
- A well-established network of contacts within top e-commerce brands, including potential clients, partners, and influencers, with a focus on travel or specific geographic areas.
- Experience in an ad-tech/mar-tech environment, media monetization solutions, or travel meta-search in a sales or business development capacity.
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach to generating new sales leads and fostering discussions.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of clearly articulating complex concepts and solutions.
- Self-driven, proactive, and results-focused, with a proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting.
- Proven track record of building and maintaining long-term client relationships, enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- A curious mindset, open to feedback, and eager to learn.
- Fluency in English is essential (excellent writing skills required), with additional languages such as French, German, or Spanish being highly valued.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Sales Manager in Retail Media Ad Tech at Platform 195, your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing a strategic sales plan to drive revenue growth and broaden our client base in the retail media sector.
- Identifying and prioritizing target accounts, leveraging industry knowledge and networks to establish meaningful connections with key stakeholders.
- Acting as a trusted advisor to prospects, understanding their unique business objectives and challenges to identify opportunities.
- Managing the complete sales process, from prospecting and lead generation to negotiation and deal closure.
- Collaborating closely with our product and implementation teams to create compelling sales materials, presentations, and proposals that highlight our expertise and value proposition.
- Maintaining and updating the company CRM for effective pipeline management and activity reporting.
- Working alongside the marketing team to develop engaging and relevant content that assists prospects in moving through the sales funnel and capturing inbound leads.
- Staying updated on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities, providing valuable insights to inform our sales and marketing strategies.
- Building strong relationships with industry influencers, trade associations, and relevant organizations to enhance our visibility and reputation.
