About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our North East Kent Home Treatment Team. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, delivering, and evaluating care for patients with memory impairment and/or functional mental ill health.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage a defined caseload of patients with functional and organic mental illness under supervision.
  • Conduct comprehensive holistic assessments, taking into account relevant mental, physical, social, cultural, psychological, spiritual, and environmental factors, in partnership with the patient and others.
  • Work collaboratively with other disciplines, patients, and their carers to agree a holistic person-centred care plan that addresses the needs identified through assessment.
  • Deliver and evaluate safe, competent, person-centred care in partnership with the service user and their carers to support recovery.

Person Specification
  • A recognised professional qualification as a Registered Nurse (Mental Health) and NMC registration, or equivalent qualification for Occupational Therapy.
  • Experience of acute mental health care and nursing a range of mental health conditions.
  • The ability to travel across a large geographical area 24 hours a day.
  • Knowledge of current best practice in providing holistic interventions to people experiencing acute episodes of mental ill health.
