Canterbury, Kent, United Kingdom NHS Full time
About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our North East Kent Home Treatment Team. As a Community Psychiatric Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing a responsive assessment and home treatment service to individuals experiencing an acute mental health crisis in the community.

Working collaboratively with service users, carers, and other professionals, you will offer home treatment interventions as an alternative to hospital admission across the areas of Canterbury, Coastal, and Thanet. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a strong understanding of mental health disorders, legislative frameworks, and risk assessment and management principles.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Assess and provide home treatment services to individuals experiencing an acute mental health crisis in the community.
  2. Work as a member of the Home Treatment Team and Rapid Response team, providing intensive home treatment to patients and support for their families using evidence-based practices.
  3. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans that promote recovery and well-being.
About Us

Requirements
  • Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
  • Completed or willing to carry out mentorship training.
  • Evidence of further training relevant to the role.
  • Ability to work a 24-hour shift pattern, including day shifts, night shifts, and weekend shifts.

We are committed to supporting the health and well-being of our staff, and we offer a range of initiatives to promote work-life balance and reduce stress.

If you are a motivated and compassionate individual who is passionate about delivering high-quality care, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
