Job Description:

Leonardo is seeking a highly skilled Senior Supportability Engineer to join their team. The role involves collaborating with a multi-discipline engineering team responsible for the production of radar systems and the development of cutting-edge products. As a Senior Supportability Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the supportability characteristics of the products meet customers' needs.

The Supportability function at Leonardo plays a vital role in all stages of a program, from Bid to Customer Support. You will work alongside engineers from various disciplines to enhance the Supportability Team and analyze and influence the supportability characteristics of future Leonardo products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with Integrated Project Teams for Supportability Engineering work packages.
  • Utilize analytical techniques for Reliability, Maintainability, and Testability (RMT) analysis on integrated systems.
  • Collaborate with engineers from different fields to identify and prevent support-related issues.
  • Contribute to process improvements and cost reduction efforts.
  • Understand operational needs to guide equipment development.
  • Supervise Engineers and provide guidance on cost of ownership.
  • Mentor junior team members and support customer engagement.

Candidates ideally have a degree in relevant engineering or science disciplines and industry experience. Experience in RMT analysis, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), FRACAS data analysis, safety hazard identification, support strategy planning, statistical data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration is highly desirable.

Leonardo's team utilizes various tools and software such as PTC Windchill Risk and Reliability, Reliasoft, OPUS, and Matlab / Simulink, among others.
