You will also be responsible for coordinating staff schedules and assignments to ensure adequate coverage and efficient workflow within the pharmacy department.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leadership and Team Management: Supervise and lead a team of pharmacy technicians and assistants, providing guidance, support, and training as necessary.
- Dispensing and Distribution: Oversee the accurate dispensing and distribution of medications in accordance with established protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Quality Governance and Compliance: Implement and maintain quality governance procedures to ensure the safety, efficacy, and integrity of pharmaceutical products and services.
- Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Identify opportunities for process improvement within the pharmacy department, implementing best practices and innovative solutions.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 Pharmacy Technician or equivalent
- Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- Minimum of 2 years hospital pharmacy experience
