About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacy services, ensuring the safe and effective preparation and dispensing of medicines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and dispensing of medicines, including cytotoxic and parenteral nutrition products.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a clean and safe working environment, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines.
  • Support the Pharmacy Technician Specialist with induction, supervision, and training of Pharmacy Support Workers.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of pharmacy services, including stock control and inventory management.
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Services or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a pharmacy environment.
  • Good attention to detail, numeracy, and literacy skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
  • Commitment to self-development and continuous learning.
