About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Services Assistant to join our team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals. As a Pharmacy Services Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the pharmacy team in the preparation and dispensing of medicines, as well as maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and dispensing of medicines, including the receipt and storage of pharmaceuticals.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a clean and safe working environment, including the cleaning of the aseptic suite and the preparation of the clean room environment.
  • Support the pharmacy team in the preparation of products for intravenous use, including the assembly of raw materials and the preparation of cytotoxic medicines.
  • Assist in the induction and training of new members of staff, as required.

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Services or equivalent.
  • Experience of working in a pharmacy, preferably in an aseptic environment.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills, as well as basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
