About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Digital Transformation Manager to join our team at Methods Business and Digital Technology. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for leading agile teams and driving positive change in the public sector environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital transformation, agile methodologies, and public sector standards and principles. You will be passionate about delivering user-centred digital services and supporting the growth and development of our team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate agile delivery and transformation
  • Facilitate organisational change and foster an agile culture
  • Act as a servant-leader for multidisciplinary teams, helping them to plan their work, remove blockers, and report progress
  • Deliver digital products and services from Discovery through to Live
  • Coach teams to become high-performing, ensuring that all team members have a voice
  • Work with the client to ensure a clear vision and user needs are in place
  • Manage and communicate project risks, issues, and dependencies
  • Take a holistic view of the service, making sure to champion user needs and accessibility
  • Understand the GDS Service Manual and Service Standard and coach the team to understand how it affects both their work and the product
  • Advocate for the use of agile methodologies, both within Methods and with our clients
  • Encourage and facilitate continuous improvement of our projects

Requirements:

  • Bridging the gap between the project and the rest of the business, and shielding the team if needed
  • Talking about agile delivery and the GDS Service Standard in a way that people understand
  • Understanding how policy or technology constraints affect the development of products, and how digitalisation benefits the user
  • Leveraging the data from tools such as Jira and Trello, and many others, to help teams understand what they're good at and where they can improve
  • Influencing stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Leading through change, adapting to changes in project scope, timelines, and team dynamics
  • Understanding and addressing the needs and concerns of team members
  • Listening and being empathetic
  • Being proactive in both client and internal environments
