About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our project team at Kier Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of multi-million pound construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and manage the division of projects into component work packages for procurement and contract administration.
  • Assess and evaluate returns from sub-contractors and award work packages under the supervision of a senior team member.
  • Monitor and measure actual expenditure against budgeted project expenditure, providing accurate and timely reports.
  • Carry out site measurements of completed work to assess sub-contractor applications and ensure accuracy.
  • Perform commercial administration tasks to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of reports.
Requirements
  • Relevant construction qualification (Degree) or technical trade experience.
  • Strong IT literacy and experience working on high-value construction projects.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships with multiple stakeholders.
