Key Responsibilities:

As a Junior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a vital role in assisting the project team in executing a high-value construction initiative.

Your daily tasks will encompass:

  • Coordinating the segmentation of projects into manageable work packages for procurement.
  • Under the guidance of a senior colleague, evaluating bids from subcontractors and allocating work packages.
  • Supporting the Senior Quantity Surveyor in tracking and analyzing actual spending against the planned budget through Cost Value Reconciliation Reports (CVR).
  • Conducting site measurements of completed tasks to verify subcontractor claims.
  • Performing commercial administration duties to ensure the precision and promptness of reports.

Candidate Profile:

This position is ideal for you if:

  • You possess experience in a comparable role within the construction sector, particularly in a Main Contracting setting, showcasing strong communication abilities and a solid grasp of safe site practices.
  • You have the capability to foster relationships with various stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Qualifications:
  • A relevant Construction Qualification (Degree) or Technical Trade certification.
  • Proficient IT skills.
  • Experience in managing high-value construction projects.
