Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead client negotiations and manage the contract generation process to meet targets and drive revenue growth.
  • Act as the account manager for new business, ensuring smooth contract execution and transparent relationship management.
  • Develop income generation strategies for recycling and waste collection services, ensuring optimal resource use and scheduling to incorporate new business.
  • Build and successfully implement the new business stream, enhancing Commercial Waste brand awareness and managing digital or operational transformation projects.
  • Collaborate with Waste & Recycling/Litter & Cleansing teams for efficient service delivery and ensure seamless communication.
  • Manage performance procedures for the office team, including recruitment, appraisals, and disciplinary actions, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Oversee budget management and work towards achieving income targets, ensuring financial sustainability and growth.
  • Handle complaints and enquiries, providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a positive customer image.
Requirements:
  • Previous management experience, with a proven track record of leadership and team management.
  • Awareness of Health and Safety legislation and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Background in a Customer Service environment, with excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse customers and stakeholders.
  • Experience in budget management and income generation, with a strong understanding of financial sustainability and growth.
  • Competent IT user, with the ability to learn and use various systems, and a willingness to adapt to new technologies.
  • Operational background, knowledge of the waste industry, and a background in sales within a high-volume low-margin service industry.
