About the Role
We're seeking a Senior Specialist Environmental Health and Safety Expert to join our team. As a key member of our Environmental Health and Safety team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our operational functionality business, with a focus on Health and Safety processes. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and conducting EHS training and providing resources to assist in training employees on safe work practices.
- Interfacing with employees and departments on safety, transportation, and environmental-related issues and concerns.
- Assisting with site Emergency Response Team.
- Initiating and submitting safety and environmental reports to management, Division, Corporate, and regulatory agencies.
- Investigating accidents and developing corrections.
- Completing EHS projects as assigned.
- Overall site-wide employee health and safety responsibilities and accountability.
Requirements
We're looking for a proactive individual who takes initiative and is able to work within a small team, but also interact on a wider business scale, leading and influencing where necessary. You will need to have excellent communication and time management skills, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing, and dynamic environment.
