Job Summary
This position is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of environmental health and safety (EHS) programs and policies within a manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in EHS regulations and standards, as well as experience in managing site emergency response teams and conducting safety training.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular site audits to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.
- Collaborate with employees and departments to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs to ensure employees are aware of and comply with safety protocols.
- Manage and maintain EHS records and reports to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent Level 5/6 in EHS) or relevant vocational experience.
- Experience in EHS management, preferably in a manufacturing company.
- Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and standards, including Cal/OSHA, NFPA, DOT, and EPA.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
