Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Specialist in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) to join our team at Randstad Delivery (GBS). This role is crucial in ensuring a safe and compliant work environment by developing, implementing, and managing EHS policies and programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- EHS Policy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Regulatory Compliance: Communicate and implement Corporate, Divisional, Federal, State, and Local regulations, ensuring the facility's full compliance with these standards.
- Emergency Response: Manage and assist the site Emergency Response Team, ensuring readiness and effective response to any emergencies.
- Incident Investigation: Investigate safety incidents and accidents, developing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit safety and environmental reports to management, division, corporate entities, and regulatory agencies.
- Project Management: Lead and complete EHS projects as assigned, ensuring they meet safety and regulatory standards.
- Employee Health and Safety: Oversee and maintain accountability for overall site-wide employee health and safety, ensuring a safe working environment for all.
Requirements:
- Education: NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety (GradIOSH), or equivalent vocational experience in EHS regulations, practices, and policies.
- Experience: Proven experience in handling EHS issues, particularly within a manufacturing environment, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
- Skills: Proficient in computer literacy, with strong knowledge of software packages such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
