Job Description

**Transport Planner Role at Tarmac**

We are seeking a skilled Transport Planner to join our team at Tarmac, a leading sustainable building materials and construction solutions business. As a Transport Planner, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our programs of works, ensuring efficient transportation and supply chain operations.

Main Responsibilities
  • **Optimize Transportation Networks**: Develop and implement strategies to maximize transportation efficiency, reducing costs and improving delivery times.
  • **Collaborate with Stakeholders**: Work closely with fleet, transport planners, and weighbridge staff to ensure seamless communication and high levels of vehicle utilization.
  • **Ensure Customer Satisfaction**: Guarantee that our internal and external customers receive exceptional service and communication, meeting their expectations and needs.
  • **Cost-Effective Distribution**: Develop and implement cost-effective distribution strategies to deliver Tarmac's products to external and internal customers.
  • **Material Service Level Management**: Manage material service levels through detailed pre-planning of programmed works, ensuring regular communication with strategic customers.
Requirements
  • **Essential Experience**: Proven experience in transport planning, communication with drivers, and planning programs of work.
