Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Team Leader to join our client's FMCG manufacturing company in Leicester. As a key member of the supply chain team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the manufacturing process, managing a team of planners, and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supply Chain Management: Oversee the planning and execution of production plans, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to customers.
  • Team Leadership: Manage a team of planners, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Communication: Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including production, quality, and logistics teams, as well as external stakeholders, such as customers and suppliers.
  • Problem-Solving: Analyze and resolve supply chain-related issues, including stock discrepancies, transportation delays, and quality control issues.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular reports and analysis to senior management on supply chain performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and trends.
Requirements
  • Supply Chain Experience: Minimum 3+ years of experience in a supply chain role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience in leading a team, with a track record of developing and motivating team members.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex supply chain issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with supply chain management software.
