We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Planner to join our client's FMCG business as a key member of their procurement and logistics team.
Key Responsibilities- Production Planning and Scheduling: Develop and communicate accurate and reliable production plans to maximize sales and service while minimizing cost per unit.
- Procurement and Logistics: Purchase flour for both sites, ensuring the right amount is available at the right time, and communicate with suppliers.
- Transportation Management: Communicate transport requirements to hauliers, ensuring the right number of lorries are available at the right time, and manage communication with all parties when issues arise.
- Inventory Management: Assist in ensuring there are enough baskets on site for effective running and liaise with 3rd parties regarding collections to address any significant changes in requirements.
- Cost Optimization: Monitor average collection cost per basket and liaise with 3rd parties to optimize vehicle/fill, collection points, etc. to drive down the average cost per basket.
- Process Improvement: Assist in the implementation of new systems and processes that assist with the smooth running of the operation and build a robust planning process for the future business.
- Business Continuity: Develop robust processes to ensure effective running during weekends and holidays and ensure people know what to do in exceptional circumstances.
- Personable: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to drive business results.
- Communication: Clear and effective communication skills to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Organizational: Organized, methodical, and conscientious with a focus on delivering results.
- Initiative: Shows initiative and is proactive in driving business results.
- Attention to Detail: Thorough and pays attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality.

- Competitive Salary: Salary flexible based on experience.
- Shift Pattern: 4 on 3 off (Wed-Sat).
- Working Hours: 7am-5pm.
- Location: Leicester site.
- Pension: 5% pension contribution.
- Holidays: 26.5 days' including public holidays.
